I have been sick. Wasn’t this family just sick a few months ago? Holy McJeebus. We have been in bed since Friday night. I spent most of Saturday in bed with Sadie just trying to comfort her and get her to sleep because she obviously felt awful. If you are two years old and the Wonder Pets can’t make you happy, you know you are feeling pretty crappy.

I started feeling pretty achy by Saturday afternoon,  but I figured it was because of all the lying around and what not. I mean, there was a day, before I had the kid, when I wouldn’t have developed bed sores after kickin’ it in bed for a whole week, but I am inexperienced in the sloth, and my hips were feeling it. Also, being pregnant totally cuts down on the positions you can recline in, so I was just moving from side to side, which made me have to pee, which meant I had to get up, which meant I had to come back to bed and try to get comfortable again. I knew something wasn’t right though, and I tried to down a whole lot of Emergen-C, but it was to no avail.

Anyway, Brett and I both ended up getting sick. It’s a veritable snot, cough, sneeze, achy eyeball party up in this house! Wanna come over? If you do will you bring me some ice cream or some soup? Because we have exhausted all of our food stores and we only have frozen pizza and beans left.

It has been an awesome way to break in our new bed though. Who knew a king size bed would fit a squirmy fever dreaming kid, a grumpy coughy old dude, a chubby preggo lady, AND a macbook? Because I can’t lie on my back, the laptop which is perched on its own precious pillow. I have to say that technology rules, as I have been able to download shows from our Tivo, which is in another room, and watch lots of free stuff online. If only Netflix would make their instant viewing mac compatible, life would be so lovely.

Well, except for the sick and eyeball hurtiness. I also just lost my voice, so that kind of sucks. I was trying to tell Brett about how Cedric Daniels from “The Wire” was on “Lost” but instead what came out was “Squeeeaky squeak sqwaaaaaaaaauk.”

Anyway, I have to go catch up on my Law & Orders now. Just thought you might want an update.
