Being sick is totally boring.
I could regale you with deliciously exciting stories about colors and consistency of what my tissues are full of, or how my throat hurts so bad my ears are stinging. I could tell you about the gloriousness that is being a sick mother with a sick child. I could paint you a picture with words about the idiocy of being said mother, taking said child to Target to get dryer sheets (Why is Target the only place that carries my dryer sheets? Why?) I could tell you all about the joy of having a super sick toddler mixed with a girl who is in the throes of her terrible two rebellious phase, of how she has taken to physically pushing me (Do we push people? No. What can you push? That’s right, a swing. But not, most definitely not, your mama.) and saying “No! I can’t! I won’t! It’s not FAIR!”
Instead, dear reader, I will give you a gift that I have given myself. A happy little mix of music. A mix that might possibly transport you, like I’m hoping it will me, far far away from the trauma of everyday life. You can download the zip here, or you can individually download each song here:

It was my husband! He was picking up our niece from school, ’cause her mama was going into labor. Whatchu doing in our hood, yo?
Ah, exciting!
I was buying a house, we closed yesterday morning and my mortgage, title and real estate company all work out of an office right there. We are done with all the paperwork nonsense and just have to pack up and move in.
