I Don't Even Know What Day It Is, and I Don't Care

The aching burning in my chest is supposed to be there right? Where did this year go man? We are behind in everything! Our invitations are still in the process of being designed, we are going out of town and we are both completely stressed out. AAAAACK. Okay, I think I am feeling better . . . Oh wait, no I'm not.

July 29, 2002

Master seamstress Toni is working extremely hard to complete many, many dresses. Here we see Emmaly and Toni deciding on skirt options. In the back is a mock up of Melissa's dress, but don't worry it is a way more sassy color than that!

July 6 & 10, 2002

Brett has finally narrowed down his choices for his own apparel for the wedding. He is also coming to a conclusion about the groomsmen and their outfits. Here is a little fashion show where you can see the handsome Libra try to make up his mind.

May 31, 2002

This month was far more productive then last. We met with the florist, Brett tried on tuxedos, and Melissa worked on figuring out just what she wants from a dress. Plus she firmed up what type of veil and head-jewelry she will be wearing. It's a surprise of course.
Since Melissa is if anything, not your traditional bride, we thought it would be interesting to see what would happen if she tried on some more . . . well, let's say traditional dresses. Click Here to see the horror.
This was a lovely mannequinn from the discount bridal shop we checked out. Isn't he handsome? He sits at his player piano and leers seductively at shopping women.

April 2002:

Well, this is really behind because I am updating in the latter part of May, but just to let you know what we did in April . . . We . . . well, I was pretty focused on finals and Brett was busy too. We thought that we had found a killer band, but then we listened to their demo tape. So, now we are on the lookout for a Rockin' band with an excellent accordian player. The bridesmaids all seemed to make up their minds about the style of dresses they want, and I got a dress form . . . Wahoo!

March 9, 2002:

Now that the Olympics are over we decided to go up to Deer Valley. We haven't been since last Semptember and we forgot what every thing looked like. It was very different to see the lodge filled with people. We took some pictures to share with everyone who has been asking us what it's like up there.

February 7, 2002:

We were in a bit of a car accident on Saturday the Second. We were travelling with Brett's brother Josh and his Fi-anc-ee Miss Ivy to a bridal show - when out of nowhere a truck pulled out in front of us and we were suddenly subject to some big smelly air bags in our faces. We both suffered burns from the chemical agents used in deploying the airbags. Brett had a few other scratches and his glasses were damaged. Melissa hurt her left knee and had it in a splint for a few days. The doctor has explained she has a Hematoma (Spelling?) and she needs to elevate her leg and ice it for quite some time. Her right hand was also injured and is continuing to swell up occasionally. She will be undergoing physical therapy for that throughout the month. Melissa is very tired of slathering her face with neosporin- but her facial burns are healing quickly. Both Josh and Ivy were relatively unharmed in the wreck. Brett's car is in bad shape though, and we are unsure if we will get our sweet green turtle back on the road again.

We are all very happy that we were not seriously injured and that the people in the other car are okay too. However this little incident put a little kink in our wedding planning. Instead we have been watching goofy movies which require little thought and attention. Yeah pain killers!!!!!
January 4, 2002:

Our first entry in the journal. It's the new year and we have finally begun to get in real planning mode for the wedding. However, things aren't going quite as smoothly as we planned because we decided to get a dog over the winter break. Her name is Ms. Cairo and we like her very much.

We have started on the save the date cards and hope to have them out next week. After some minor problems with our first choice for the date, we have chosen to have the wedding on September 22, 2002.
