I have been trying to figure out how to explain my life before Brett. It's not easy, as the family discussion takes multiple charts and diagrams. So here are the basics:

I was born on December 26, 1976, in Salt Lake City Utah. My biological parents are Antonia Aguirre and Ben Barr. However for multiple reasons their romance was ill fated and I was blessed with two more parents, Richard Nelson and John Peterson.

In my fifth year of life I received the present of a beautiful baby brother Aaron Basil Nelson, followed two years later by an equally stunning sister named Maureen Bess Nelson - but we all call her Moey.

I attended the Open Classroom elementary school, and I then went to Clayton Junior High where I met my best friend Emmaly Adams.

I tried kind of hard to attend East High school, but I really liked going to coffee a lot more and I just barely graduated from Horizonte High School.

After school I was forced to get a job. I was still going to coffee constantly so I decided to get a job at Beans & Brews coffee shop. I worked there for three years in which time I worked my way up to manager.

In 1998 I was feeling very restless. I had my own place and I liked being independent, but my job was very intellectually unfulfilling. I was looking for more. It was time to get serious, I meant about school, but then I met Brett.
